The Fabulous Roof Shakers (FRS) are composed of veteran musicians from Seattle, Queens, Detroit, and San Francisco and are available for Private Parties, Festivals, Casino’s, and Clubs . FRS has been performing Vintage East Coast Rhythm and Blues to enthusiastic crowds in and around the Puget Sound area and beyond since 2006. FRS features a solid rhythm section, gritty vocals, wailing blues harmonica, soulful sax and smokin’ guitar.
Come check us out for one of the best blues experiences the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Joe Cook is a world class blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter from Minneapolis. He tells me that over 70% of his material is original! Recipient of countless Twin City Blues Awards, as well as award winning CDs. Joe found his way out here from MInnesota a year ago and wanted to get established before starting his own band. He found himself a great one that had the groove he was looking for. The great Tim “Stoop Down” Sherman on guitar, “Mighty Mite” Patty Mey on bass, Conrad “El Machete'” Ormsby on drums. Ain’t gonna be nothin’ that goes wrong tonight! Marcia’s cookin’ somethin’ special and that makes things better!
Music from 8 til midnight
Mark Whitman runs a well established jam on the last Thursday of most months. He brings in some of his old band members from waaay back in time, as well as some currently hot shots. Come on down with your axe and check it out! Marcia has been making ribs each time, but we’ll see what happens tonight!
I was contacted by John Hanford who reported that Don Wilhelm (Daily Flash, Child, et al), Steve Peterson (The Kingsmen, Daily Flash, Los Orchards), Zoltan (Pat Hues), and I (Bare Roots, Patti Allen & Monster Road, The Wailers) would like to put together a quartet and play the Salmon Bay Eagles… I have not a bit of hesitation to sign these guys up! Expect a lot of blues, some jazz, and R&B. Bring those dancing shoes!
Sheri will be sharing her songs and soul with the fine folks in Monroe at the Twin Rivers Brewing Company!
5 star menu and excellent special brews!
Come listen to hits from her past two CDs and new songs for her upcoming Summer CD! Playing favorites from the blues, country and rock too! An entertaining show for all!
The New Rhythmatics
We’re a tastefully versatile Blues/Roots/Swing band (or as we like to say, Blue-Eyed Soul and Redneck Jazz) based in Seattle. Our focus is on top-notch vocals and cool, not- overbearing musicianship. Our material includes not only Blues (Tampa Red, Sonny Boy, Irma Thomas, the Chess stuff) but also some classic Country vocal duets (Conway and Loretta, Gram and Emmylou), choice swing standards (Nat Cole, Peggy Lee), and some vintage rockin’ R&B (Don and Dewey, Johnny Otis). I had these folks here in Oct and couldn’t wait to have them back!
